Jeff Schapiro is a veteran political journalist who spent nearly four decades at the Richmond Times-Dispatch, covering Virginia politics with sharp analysis and historical insight before retiring in 2025. He is currently a scholar at the University of Virginia's Center for Politics and co-hosts a political analysis segment on Virginia Public Radio, called "Pope & Schapiro," on Friday mornings on VPM. He is a highly regarded guest speaker at the Richmond First Club.
